Career
Chris Chambers has spent more than 25 years inside the property claims that end up disputed: catastrophe deployments after hurricanes, hail, wind, tornado and flood, slab team leadership after Hurricane Katrina, and commercial and condominium losses valued up to $85 million. That work ran through field, large-loss and supervisory roles at national property and casualty carriers and in independent practice, with multi-line supervisory and catastrophe special-claims authority.
He holds the Executive General Adjuster designation, the senior designation for the largest and most complex property losses, and National Flood Insurance Program certification at all four authority levels.
Expert, appraiser and umpire
Chris accepts retention from policyholder counsel and from insurer and defense counsel, and serves as a party-appointed appraiser or a neutral umpire under the policy appraisal clause. Opinions concentrate on damage scope and causation, actual cash value and replacement cost, depreciation and estimating methodology, catastrophe and large-loss practices, NFIP flood claims, and claims handling customs and practices. He accepts one role per matter, and conflict checks are usually cleared the same day.

Disaster recovery and Indian law
An enrolled citizen of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, Chris earned a Master of Legal Studies in Indigenous Peoples Law from the University of Oklahoma and founded Choctaw Strategies, LLC, doing business as Okla Risk Advisors, in August 2023. He directs the firm’s hazard mitigation planning and FEMA Public Assistance work, where claims experience is applied to loss estimation and to Stafford Act Section 312 insurance reconciliation. He has completed 45 FEMA Independent Study courses, including IS-318.b Mitigation Planning for Local and Tribal Communities.
