Licensing differs by role. Expert witness and consulting work does not require an adjuster license. Appraisal and umpire roles are accepted wherever state rules permit. Adjusting is accepted where the assigned adjuster holds the required resident, non-resident or emergency license. See coverage by state and credentials.
